If you want to know what gives me my strength and my hope, it is God. I've been a Christian for over 30 years. This page just explains how you can begin to know God too. I am praying for you, and I hope this helps.
I asked Jesus to come into my life and be my savior over 30 years ago. I guess the greatest thing I can say about being a Christian is the peace I have. I still experience allot of the same "troubles" other people deal with. We still need to pay the bills, change the diapers, and face sickness and deaths. The difference is I face all of these things with the wisdom and help of a very loving Heavenly Father. I'm not alone. If I don't know what to do, I wait until God gives me wisdom. I feel His care. I know His love. I would be so empty without this love. I wish you could know God too. You were created to know God, not from a distance, but in a deeply personal way. Jesus died for our sins so that we could come to God. He died so we could be a child of God, not alienated but restored. I think we all know what it feels like to feel dirty and guilty. Could you believe that Jesus took all of our guilt upon himself? He died to make us clean. Being a Christian begins just simply by accepting the gift of forgiveness God offers every person. Christ died for the whole world. All you need to do is accept it.
